Mark Hines is Lucy Worsley’s husband of more than a decade. However, they had already met in the nineties when Lucy was working for the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. The couple eventually tied the knot in November 2011.
Professionally, Mark Hines works as an architect. He is responsible for £1.4bn remodelings and transformation of the BBC’s Broadcasting House.

Lucy had responded to the claims stating: “When I got married three years ago, my husband, who’s a very wise man, made me sign a contract saying I would never be on Strictly Come Dancing. ”
“Partly because they always run off with their professional dance partner, and partly because he thought it would be really bad for me – I love sequins and showing off a bit too much already.”

Lucy had discussed her decision not to have children with The New York Times in 2018. She told: “I don’t want it to be the thing that defines me, and I don’t think it should be the thing that defines me, and I don’t think other people should be interested,”
“Obviously, I have talked about it in the past, so I can’t say I’m not going to talk about it anymore, but I was naive. I didn’t realize what I was getting into.”
