Tina Marie Thompson (born February 10, 1975) is a former professional basketball player in the United States. Thompson was the inaugural WNBA draught selection, chosen first by the Houston Comets. She was a key part of the Comets’ four WNBA titles. She has two Olympic gold medals and has been in nine WNBA All-Star Games. She is the all-time top scorer in the WNBA. She was named one of the best 15 players in WNBA history by fans in 2011. She is also the only player to have appeared in every WNBA season as of the 2013 season. Her last professional game was a 58-55 defeat against the Minnesota Lynx in Game 2 of the WNBA Western Conference first round playoffs at the Tacoma Dome on September 22, 2013.
