Born in Los Angeles, California, of part-Lebanese descent, Kerri is the daughter of Casey Kasem, a well-known radio host, and Linda Meyers Kasem, one of four siblings. She started out as an actress, appearing in the movies “L.A. Wars” and “My Life as a Troll”, but eventually focused on hosting later on in her career. Despite her slow rise to fame, her early years as an actress helped establish her career and net worth.

Eventually, in 2003 Kasem started gaining momentum in her career when she appeared in the reality show “Beg, Borrow & Deal” on the ESPN Network. Soon, she worked on the network E! as a host and contributor, and also made an appearance in the movie “UFC: Ultimate Knockouts 3” and “UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship: Ultimate Ultimate Knockouts”. She has subsequently hosted shows on MTV, MTV Asia, and SiTV, and her career as a host has certainly helped her wealth tremendously.

Today, Kasem is still active in hosting, currently working alongside Alan Gurvey in the radio show “Gurvey’s Law” in which they interview various lawyers, legal scholars and associated famous personalities, discussing current events and issues in the country.

Kerri is known to have founded Kasem Cares Foundation, which aims to fight for the rights of children to visit their ailing parents in cases of opposition from spouse or step-parent. Her advocacy came after her public battle with her stepmother, Jean Kasem, who kept her from visiting her father,Casey Kasem, when he fell ill with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
