Levardis Robert Martyn Burton, Jr., better known to the world as LeVar Burton, was born in 1957, in Germany. When Burton was 13 years old he decided to start studying at St. Pius X seminary in order to become a priest. After some time Burton started to doubt his decision and when he was 17 years old he left the seminary and started to study drama at the University of Southern California. LeVar started his acting career in 1977 when he got the role in “Roots”. During the making of this series LeVar had an opportunity to work with John Amos, Ben Vereen, Vic Morrow, Leslie Uggams and others. The appearance in this show added to LeVar Burton’s net worth. Later Burton also appeared in “Fantasy Island”, “Rebop” and “Battle of the Network Stars”.
